Posted by Calum Napier onThe founder of an Aberdeen-based hemp company has won an award.
Rebecca Napier launched The Wee Hemp Company with her husband Calum last May and sells health and wellness aids.
Now, Junior Chamber International has presented Rebecca with a Ten Outstanding Young People Award in the medical innovation category.
Rebecca said she was inspired by hemp-based products after her body rejected pharmaceutical medication due to being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and Fibromyalgia.
She added: “Since adopting a natural and holistic approach to health, I have regained my life from Fibromyalgia and my Crohn’s is in remission. I no longer require pharmaceuticals.
“We decided we wanted to help others, and so the company was born.”
