Our Top 5 Do's & Don'ts for Buying CBD Products
Posted by Calum Napier onOn the back of recent lab tests conducted on CBD products currently available on Ebay & with the increase of rogue traders...
Here is our TOP 5 DO'S & DON'TS FOR BUYING CBD PRODUCTS:
🚩1. Ensure the company/ seller you are buying from is reputable & preferably listed/ a member of a reputable trade association- that way you know the company/ seller (like ourselves) has been vetted & complies with MHRA & FSA rules & regulations. Safety is paramount.
🚩2. Lab test reports/ certs- if there's no certs available to view or just one cert covering all products etc DO NOT BUY. Whether this is in a shop or online. Request to see the cert from the seller, if they can not produce it then DO NOT BUY, you have no idea what is in the product. Zero CBD, illegal substances etc. The batch number & expiry date should be on both the cert & on the product. Safety is paramount.
🚩3. If the price looks cheap, DO NOT BUY you are paying for what you get....like a fake pair of Prada trainers that will self combust! Safety is paramount.
🚩4. If there's medical claims or benefits being advertised by the company/ seller they are breaking MHRA & FSA rules & regulations. These companies/ sellers/ individuals are damaging the industry as a whole & what Wee are trying to achieve as a collective- keeping it safe & keeping CBD legal. Unfortunately majority of these sellers aren't interested in your health or wellbeing or the industry.
🚩5. CBD in the form of indica, buds, flowers, isolate in foods (including drops) are illegal- DO NOT BUY as it's against UK law. With recent changes in law by the VMD, CBD products specifically targeted for pets are prohibited.
The 5 RED FLAGS: Not a reputable/ vetted company/ seller | No lab reports/ certs | Cheap in price | Medicinal claims | Illegal CBD products 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
Wee have been through the whole process ourselves & know it can be quite overwhelming. If you require any help regardless who you are purchasing from, please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries, concerns etc & Wee will advise as best as Wee can.
Wee want to help keep CBD users safe & empowered with knowledge- especially those new to CBD.
